Nigerians can now subscribe to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery initial public offering through Moniepoint POS agents, expanding access to the share sale beyond traditional stockbroking and investment platforms.

Moniepoint Microfinance Bank said retail investors can use its nationwide agent network as well as its Personal and Business Banking applications to participate in the IPO.

The bank is working with payments infrastructure company TeamApt on the transaction.

The Dangote Refinery offer is priced at ₦525 per share, with investors able to subscribe for a minimum of 10 shares, equivalent to ₦5,250.

Moniepoint said individual transactions through its channel can cover up to 500 shares at a time.

According to the company, its POS agent network operates across Nigeria's 774 local government areas, potentially extending IPO access to investors who may not regularly use stockbroking applications.

The development comes as strong retail demand for the Dangote offering has placed pressure on some Nigerian investment platforms.

Reuters reported that several digital investment platforms experienced outages and heavy traffic following the opening of the IPO, highlighting both strong demand and capacity challenges in Nigeria's retail-investment infrastructure.

The Securities and Exchange Commission has advised prospective investors to use only officially approved receiving agents, subscription channels and platforms.

The regulator also warned investors to verify websites and links before entering personal or financial information and to avoid transferring money to unauthorised individuals or entities.

Moniepoint's entry gives investors another route to participate without relying exclusively on conventional brokerage channels.

Other approved digital channels have also been made available for the offer.

Investment-market officials previously said subscribers without an existing Central Securities Clearing System account could have one created as part of the approved onboarding process after their identity and banking information are verified.

Investors should nevertheless confirm the transaction status after payment and retain evidence of subscription.

The Dangote Refinery IPO opened on September 14, 2026, and has attracted widespread attention from both existing market participants and first-time retail investors.

Verita Post has already covered the opening of the IPO and the earlier outage experienced by Bamboo, making the Moniepoint POS channel a separate where and how to subscribe search intent rather than a duplicate launch story.
