ILA-ORANGUN, OSUN — Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing Osun Central Senatorial District, has flagged off the installation of a 7.5MVA power transformer substation and construction of a 2-kilometre road in Ila-Orangun, Osun State.

The projects are part of constituency interventions aimed at addressing critical infrastructure needs and improving living conditions across communities in the senatorial district.

The transformer project is expected to strengthen electricity supply in Ila-Orangun by providing additional power capacity for residents, businesses and public institutions.

The senator also flagged off the construction of a 2km road project designed to improve accessibility and movement within the community.

The road intervention is expected to ease transportation and improve connectivity, particularly for residents accessing important public facilities in the area.

The infrastructure programme also includes the installation of solar-powered streetlights, aimed at improving visibility and security along major routes and community areas.

The use of solar-powered lighting is expected to provide a more sustainable source of illumination while reducing dependence on conventional electricity supply.

The projects form part of a wider development programme being implemented across Osun Central, with additional interventions planned in other communities within the district.

Fadeyi has continued to identify power supply, road infrastructure and other basic amenities as priority areas for constituency intervention.
